it has a broken K series in, which sits behind the passengers
I am at bore protrusion stage today but feeler gauge not thin enough !

but.. really struggling to get an measurements of the cylinder liners.. will try again tomorrow..
also there are some minor rings in the head..
still looking like it may not go again reliably.. only30K miles too !

How most unusual for a K series to have Head Gasket problems...
Nice cars though John... I like them a lot and I believe the HG is easier to do than it looks at first glance...

engine stripped and head dismantled..
it takes 30 mins to get to it though not quite the same as opening the bonnet..
otherwise its all same same..

Don't use a mls gasket if you don't have the spec'd 3 thou protrusion, you won't get the clamping force, good quality payen jobbie and she will be good.
Good cars though, great fun and lively engines, one of my favourite engines.
