xantia accelerator pedal (again!)
My car has always had a very stiff accelerator pedal. This (I presume) causes judder at slow speed. Not long ago I rerouted the cable in the engine bay and the pedal loosened. I feel that it's becoming worse again. Could it have something to do with the temp in the engine bay - it's softish in the morning and stiffens after 30 - 40 min journey. Will replacing of the whole cable cure it? Could it also be something at the pedal end - spring probably? Please help!

I suspect the cable should be replaced.
Before deciding - then try remove the cable for inspection.
I know it's not that easy - but somehow yo have to either find the problem or replace the cable - so why not try if there visually is a problem.
With cable off - it's easy to check if it's the throttle or pedal - instead of the cable - that's the problem.
