The adjuster itself is more than likely sticking, SUPPORT the rear....then get to the unit and soak with pen oil, leave, soak, leave, then hit it with engine oil and slowly work the arm so it moves freely, re clip (or replace if worn)

TRY a new clip first! I say this because you may go through the stages of freeing the TWO levers off only to find the Spigot that the dog bone clips onto on the lower lever can and do wear too, meaning that while the dog bone should CLIP on tightly, they dont and keep falling off. The nobble can wear, this also caused by stiff levers. Hard to beleve , but yes! But its not physical wear, its water trapping between the dog bone Cup and the spigot it then rusts the spigot away!

Both levers should move nive and freely (Bear in mind they are spring attached to the height corrector Terry!!) lever them and see if they move freely.

It could be just rusted away spogit as above...

Please see some photo's above... The rubber gromit has come off the metal bracket that it is attached to and it appears to have a bend in it - is this correct?
The white plastic dog continues to unclip itself from where it should be - is this being caused by the bend in the metal bracket?
Many Thanks,
Terry

Is it a new Plastic Dog bone Terry?

If it is, then the "Knoble" is worn from water getting into it when the dog bone was attached and rusting it away...

The Height Corrector connecting "Bracket" SHOULD be shaped as it is! Theres nothing I can see untoward otherwise in the pics... Oh, also your height corector dust cover has come off your height corrector too!!
