206 jacking point sill mot fail?

206 jacking point sill mot fail?

Anyone any idea if this would be an mot fail? Both sides front are crushed like this.Image

its not easy to see the damage in your photo, but from what i can see it does not look like it should fail the MOT, as long as there is no rust that has broken open within 30cm of seat belt or suspension mountings it should be fine

I did wonder that too as I could not really see in detail said damage.

As said its the 30cm thing really. I don't think 'crush' damage unless its weakened it to any degree would mean a fail though. Has it just been bent inwards / outwards etc ? (the jacking point that is)

Theres another few pics not great quality. Might try and bend them back out with mole grips

again i still cant make out the damage fully, but if that is the sill lip/jacking point, and there is not rust that you can push through or separating seems, all they might be able to do is put it down as an advisory

Its still solid but has been folded over recently with a jack so theres not any rust, just slight surface rust.
