Got a weird one for you here !!! its an intermittent fault with the power of my c5 2002 hdi 110hp saloon. I can be cruising along nicely (any speed) I decide to accelerate and there is no turbo ? but all of a sudden it is as though i have thrown a switch and the turbo kicks in and i get full power ??? however, i can be going along and put my foot down and full power kicks in as normal, but then all of a sudden its as though the switch has been turned off and i go into having no power ?????????????
Any clues ?

Re: c5 turbo problem
Thats what my old 2ltr C5 2002 did once, so sounds like a MAF sensor (or fuel filter partially blocked) to me. Others more qualified (our resident Pro's
) will chip in, they are better at diagnosis than me

Re: c5 turbo problem
Cheers for your reply stickfinger, I had a new MAF only 6 months ago as i kept having anti-pollution faults coming up on the display. I will check the fuel filter but I did that 20,000 miles ago and i only use fuel station fuel.

Re: c5 turbo problem
....was the MAF a "budget" one, they are well known to be short lived. Does it "feel" electrical or fuel ?
Maybe get the car on a Lexia to find out what's occurring, they are well worth the investment if you do not have one....I take mine and its Laptop to the local garage for non-Specialist Citroen work if I need to....it has saved me significant money and paid for itself in two visits....remember these engines are very common its just Citroen/Pug that decides to have different software
....demm Frenchmen egh ?
