Dear FCF members
I have a 407 Coupe. Driver (right side in my case in South Africa) now only lifts up 50mm every time I activate the button, even if I hold it. Previously it would go up all the way for just one button action.
Left window is still like that. The window rolls down in one session.
Thanks
Piet

Did you disconnect the battery recently? If so, the anti pinch function needs to be reset. What you do is to lower the window all the way down, and then all the way back up again. That should allow the anti pinch to re-learn its' parameters.

Re: Peugeot window changed the way it works
Hello James, Thanks for the advice. I did loosen the battery. I tried to let it go all the way up, but need to activate the buttom many times. I will repeat it and try your fix tomorrow.

Yes, that is usually the fix. You nudge it up in a series of "bumps" then when at the top hold the "up" side of the switch on for a few seconds. I would suggest then turning off the key and removing it, then re-insert the key and make sure it's fixed.
It's a common outcome with many similar cars, not a Citroën/Peugeot oddity.

Re: Peugeot window changed the way it works
It should go all the way down in one go, but it needs to 'learn' where the top of the window is. It would also help if, when the window is all the way down, to give the guides a thorough clean. Once it has 'learnt' where the top is the anti pinch control will (assuming that that is the 'problem') manage the window correctly.

Make sure you do a BSI reset if ever you disconnect the battery.
