Re: Y reg 306petrol plip- signal
Need Diag2000 or Diagbox (or other tool) to recode later remotes, the radio frequency ones that is such as this model will be.
It should not lose its code though unless its rolled out of sequence, Diag will fix however.

Re: Y reg 306petrol plip- signal
thanks Andy
the owner had a new battery fitted by some shop ( not sure were/who )
apparently they tested to old battery and said it was still ok, but the owner said put the new one in all the same,
im thinking they left the plip without a battery powering it for toooo long ??????

Re: Y reg 306petrol plip- signal
Its possible, I'll admit I'm not that up to date on the later ones however I know a new one has to usually be coded in via Diag2000 or Diagbox etc.
Had the same on my 106 (as it was a really late one it had the RF plip) , easy to just code in though.
I can't see the code being needed unless you plan to play with the immobilizer as its separate issue completely. You should just be able to (need all the remotes I think same as if you were coding a transponder) tell it how many remotes you have and go through them that way.
It might be possible to reset it via pressing buttons and ign on / off etc although I think it may be quicker to just plug it in and tell it you want to set some remotes up and be done with it.
