New battery and radio code
Hi all, I'm going to put a new battery in my C5 in the near future and have been wondering about whether I need to put a code into the radio after the change? I have all the documents for the car in the wallet but no code card. Any advice gratefully received as usual!

Re: New battery and radio code
You don't need a code, the radio is keyed to the car's VIN.
Only when fitting a replacement unit do you need a Lexia to match it to the car.
You will need to retune it and reset autolights and the auto windows.
When replacing the battery, take note of the recommended procedure

Re: New battery and radio code
I just changed my battery, as it is brand new and my daughters diesel astra on original battery was getting slow to start. No point in putting a new battery away in a possible write off! I just whipped it out and in the other one with no problems. Only had to reset clock.
