Hey, an opinion thread... Two horse race, possibly three if I can get a line on Klarius.
Of these brands, which is generally seen as making better cats? Quality, not price-wise.
This is for the non-Frog, which has a pair of precats on a tubular manifold, either the precats or last unit is failed badly. Genuine is insanely dear across the globe.
Thanks, Adam.

Cat, cats, cats... Cue Mrs Slocombe and her pussy. Malcolm, are you there?
I've been reading up; although the car in question is an I-tie, there's a link to PSA. Originally, Fiat group used Zeuna Stärker exhaust systems in their Alfa 147 production, this company was acquired by Faurecia, who in turn had been created by the merging of ECIA and the company of Bertrand Faure; this entity includes a large stake held by PSA. Long story short, Alfa went to a Marelli group exhaust system.
So there was negligible chance of me finding NOS Stärker bits, even though lifespan had been decent.
Having a detailed surf of both Walker and Bosal websites, the Walker one is much more an underlying vibe of "We'll have something that fits" where the Bosal site is more interested in faithfulness of construction materials and meeting Type Approval. Both appear to economise by using more universal patterns of matrix adapted into an OEM appearance outer shell. Based simply on what I've read and the relative parity of price I would choose Bosal for this application - although Klarius QH hasn't yet been explored.

Re: Walker v Bosal for Cat
Can't really comment on cats given that I've had very few cars with them!
As far as general exhausts are concerned though I've never had a Bosal system give me any trouble, and they've always seemed to last well. I have had problems with Walker systems, usually down to poor fit. I seem to recall it was a Walker system on the Riva which I had to resort to a large hammer and a blowtorch to get it to co-operate and fit without knocking on the rear axle or sill. Original system cleared both by a mile, but the Walker system just didn't seem to be the right shape. Bit of a headscratcher as to how they got that one wrong given that it hasn't changed in shape since 1970 something!
