206 starting problems

Post by R7fld »

Hi there, hopefully someone will be able to help. My girlfriend has a 206 1.6 petrol and when she goes to start it it just cranks over and you have to push the gas pedal to get it going. This happens 90% of the time and seems to be better when it's cold outside. She's had it for around a year now and has had this problems since we got it but it has never let us down. It's just a bit annoying. Any help will be much appreciated

It could be one of many things, and throwing parts at the problem is the wrong way to go.

Check out the Lexia/Planet map and find someone close to you who can do all manner of diagnostics to see if there's any faults logged (not all faults put on the Engine Management Light) or read live data of the car.
