climate control blowing hot and cold but not the way its sup

hello lads
c5 dual climate control wont stop blowing cold air on drivers side unless put up above 26 and hot air on passenger side even with air con which works too well on the drivers side any ideas ,relay, thermistor, anything common faults on these.

Dont know what happened there lads the c5 is blowing hot air on one side and antartic air on the driver side could it be a relay

It could also be the known issue of the spindle cog failing. At first the spindle cog on the flap motor was quite short, which allowed it to start coming out of the flap. Later motors have longer spindle cogs.

Mine is a 2007 and has exactly this fault. It's a £400+ job at a citroen specialist near to me. Scared to ask at citroen. Or take the dash out myself then get the required parts. It could need new flaps if they are siezed up and/or a new motor to work them.

From what I have read it is the vent flaps that distort with the heat and stress the cog/vent interface.
Replacing the motor/cog may be a temporary fix unless the vent flap is dealt with too.
Taking the dash out is supposedly not difficult but very time consuming. Full day job for someone experienced, weekend job first time.

My dash will not be coming out anytime soon, possibly in the spring. I can get the car to be at an acceptable temperature, but then it hasn't been really cold.

Ah yeah couldn't be a nice little relay has to be deconstruct the interior I think ill leave it till the summer I dont fancy that kind of headache this side of christmas ill live with frost bite on the right and 3rd degree burns on the left
