Laguna II gearbox whine
I have an 03 Laguna 1.9DCI with the 6 speed gearbox. I am getting a whining noise when pulling off in 1st, when I move to second is disappears. Altho it sometimes is quite hard to get into second too. It has 109k miles on it. Anyone experienced this and know how to fix it?

Quite a few have issues with gearbox bearings. I would drive till it gets worse. Can you double de-clutch into second gear?
Second gear could be a syncro or a stretched cable. Check gearbox oil anyway . A change wont do any harm with the correct type. You can check the oil for any swarf.

PK6 gearboxes are prone to bearing problems. Once the gearbox is out ,they're quite easy to replace.If you've never had a clutch and dmf changed at 109k it might be a good time to change them and fix the box at the same time. A new box would be very expensive.
