Amazing.. you expect a part to be expensive and it isnt and when you think it will be cheap it costs the earth..

What on earth is a gearshift control weight?

Urrrmm.. its a weight slung out on the end of the gearshift Control Rod on the gearbox to give the gear lever more positive "Feel" inside the car!

It will work with it broken - pictures can follow next week - but the gear lever feels a little vauge without it!

A bit like what looks like a bit of a counterweight on one of the ML5T arms then?

C2 1.4 hdi 70bhp.. when we got the gearbox refurbed and it came back I was lifting it to put it back on the engine and it slipped out my right hand and as it dropped cogs end first the part caught the corner of the subframe and it snapped off..

its exactley that jim as its cable change on these to.. Think citroen call it an MA gearbox..

if you print these instruction out hun, then follow them step by step

or you could pm. me your phone No. and let me know when you can be on service citroen, and i will call you and run through it with you

once you have double clicked on the part No. in the list next to the exploded view of what you are looking for,
the part No. will appear in a small window on the right of the original screen, ( may be behind the screen with the exploded drawing on ),

click once on that No. then click on the basket near top right of the screen, this will bring up a page with a form, ignore the form and click the basket just basket at the top just to the left of the center ( this basket turns red as you hover over it )
now the price will appear on your screen
