405 Brake Compensator Installation

I'm installing a compensator onto a beam that didn't have one factory fitted, so apart from some unclear pictures on Google, I'm working blind. Does this look correctly installed?





The connectors appear to take 11mm and 14mm union nuts, which are input/output? I'm guessing it won't work correctly the wrong way around?

I think you can't get the connections wrong with the factory piping; that's the reason for different sizes.

Cheers Addo, that's a useful picture. I removed all of the factory piping, lots of rot, so I need to know what goes where but I think I can see from that picture. That doesn't look like a 405, what is it? Beefy torsion bars, Partner or Berlingo?

Something's not right with your pictured flex hose; one end is wedged in the wrong side of its bracket.

also with the suspension fully relaxed the actuating rod should be floppy loose, looks like its wound up and pulling the lever down

So it needs adjusted a little, tighter = more bias towards front? The hoses and pipework are all coming off anyway as I've converted drums to discs, and the hoses and pipes are a little different.

yes but not tighter the lever should be released until you put load in the back of the car,

look at the angle of the lever in the link addo ( Adam ) posted
