Just washed it

Unread post by Stickyfinger »

:)....and fixed the front bumber grill.

I needed to support the crack so added some chrome to help, hot pined so quite solid. What do you think of the Spots ?

Some chrome left over, so under the window seems like a good place for it.

Nice.
Those spots? Original? Cost? Easy to fit?

You're lucky to have such a rare Cit color (at least in my part of Europe) on the road ... :) ...

The front spots and lower grille look like a joey, peering out from its pouch.

One thing I've noticed, you could go for the chrome mirror covers ...

OK OK OK....I admit it.....the SPOTs were Photoshop :)

I was looking at this as an option, but I think I will leave them alone....the grill is as fitted.

That's a nice car and when I get a c5 of that age it will be a tourer and I really like that colour. I have sat in qprdude's one and love the inside. It's a pity the extra lights are photoshopped they look amazingly good. If I had one I would be trying my hardest to get lights to fit there.

When I was looking for the car, I required it to be an Exclusive for the hydromatic suspension, this was the only one I saw in the Red and I nearly rejected the car based on that alone.
I took the car despite the colour, it has grown on me in ownership and really complements the car I think.

Bug*er, completely missed the spots being photoshopped . They do look the business though.
I like the colour. Reminds me a bit on the Rover 75 Colour. It needs to be on a big car though, wouldn't be the same on a Corsa!

Sorry :(....interesting to see peoples reaction however....personally I decided there are plenty of lights already on the car.....and they look round corners as well . I cannot improve on that :)

This is why I worried about a "Red" car........horrid looking thing !

Looks more bronze than yours. The C5 red is more crisp and suited to the shape.

I have only ever bought 2 brand new cars and chose the colour. The first one was a rover 216 GTI in British Racing Green, the second was a Picasso in Wicked Red. That would be very similar to your car and is one of my absolute favourite colours. Very different on different cars though. Some cars suit these strong colours, some don't. I've never chosen or rejected a used car because of its colour. They have always been bought because of the deal or condition.

I'm very partial to red cars myself....

I must say that Red really suits the C5...

There's one C5 Exclusive Sedan here with same color and it looks good, eventhough it's not black. It's got chrome-mirrors that go with red color really nice.
