206 1.4 8v valve clearances

Post by duke »

Does anyone have a tip for how to ensure an engine valve is fully closed before checking the clearance? It is impossible to see by eye, and the only other way I can think of is by using a dial test gauge. I have some clicking noises from my 206 engine which I think are a bit more than just the fuel injectors opening and closing.

Looks excellent Malcolm... Verey timely as I still have an 8V TU in the family that needs a fully service soon...

Shame the old 'Rule of 9s' doesn't work on these engines... When no. 8 is fully open adjust No.1 and so on...
