airbag replacement crashed c5

has anybody had any experience replacing airbags on a c5?

there appears to be the airbags and controller units on ebay is it a case of swaping them over or do i have to delve into lexia to make it work?

I don't know about the x7 but on the earlier models its just plug and play provided you use parts from the same model. You need to replace the airbag ECU along with the blown airbags and the pretensioners. If the seat airbags and the curtain airbags have blown there is a satellite unit fixed to the sill near the b pillar, one on each side. Its easier to get them if the seats are unbolted first. As far as I know the satellite units must match the airbag ECU.
