Hello Guys,
I managed to go under the car today and have a look where the leak is coming from and took some pictures.
Where would you say the leak is coming from?
Would like to try and tackle it my self
Cheers
Vasilis.
First picture is the backbox.. even that is getting wet but I am sure it is the wind blowing it there?

Re: C5 2.2HDi (2003) leaky rear suspension, help
that cable tir aint doing any good what so every, as the correct clamp should clamp the gaiter at two points, one each side if the seepage return pipe which is the one above the cable tie in the second picy, so the reason your is leaking the seepage is coming by/out past the un clamped edge of the gaiter

Cheers Mike.
After zooming at the pictures a bit more seems that where the return pipe goes in the boot, might be broken too? should need a close up examine.
I tihnk I will go to Citroen and get the clamp along with the boot it self

here is price and part No. for boot and clamp
Part Number Description Quantity Price excl. VAT Price incl. VAT Total incl. VAT Selection
0000527264 CYLINDER BOOT 6.36 GBP 7.63 GBP 7.63 GBP
00005280T6 BOOT CLAMP 8.02 GBP 9.62 GBP 9.62 GBP
have fun fitting the boot at the push rod cup end ( or it is in situe anyhow ), although as you are fitting a new boot you will have the push rod off the car on the bench, this will make the job far easier

ps.
the section of the boot the seepage return spout is at, is clamped off from the main body of the boot by the correct clamp,
this section is also clamped off over a channel around the neck of the suspension ram body, with one hole in its channel surface that the seepage flows from into the channel, which is then collected by the seepage return pipe

Re: C5 2.2HDi (2003) leaky rear suspension, help
I have put on the correct citroen clamp,
however there is a hole on the boot (passenger rear side), and the other side (driver rear side) the boot has a bigger hole (however no leak)
So this lead me to believe that I have leaky seals as well, as the fluid seems excessive.
So before I do anything else, I will order the seals, as well as one more boot and an extra slider pin.
That will be enough to rebuilt the rear leaky side seals and put new boots with new slider pins.
So the rear should be like new after all this is done in theory.
