Hi Danny - for some reason its difficult to get a response from the click where vans are concerned even though the engine is basically the same as any citroen 2.0hdi. I Have a relay myself so i will attempt to help which may well bring the click into the conversation.

Have you had a diag done to check for any fault codes? I ask because your problem could well be a crank or cam sensor.

There are less van knowledgeable members on the forum, which is why it can take longer to get a response. If you take a look in the link I will post up, you will find a list of members willing to help out others by connecting their Lexia systems to read the ECUs and diagnose problems;

http://www.frenchcarforum.co.uk/forum/v ... 19&t=29178" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

If you try and guess what the fault is , it can take a long time to track it down. The Lexia can, usually, narrow down where to look.

A common fault on the Hdi engines is the HP pump pressure regulator, or rather the filter on it although I haven't been able to successfully clean one. Compared with what you have spent a regulator is relatively cheap, I have had several running problems caused by them so its worth a try.

Thanks for the responses. Before I had the injectors done the fault code was p0191 took it to a diesal specialist he said it sayd injector 2 &3 was down so he replaced all of them. I took it away and straight away it went into limp mode so I took it back he then put it down to and electric plug wasn't pushed in properly since then it's been bettet but still goes into limp mode. It never started in the morning's so I changed all glow plugs and egr valve again it's better at starting but every now and then it doesn't start. I don't wana spend more money just to have it happen again.

All the engine problems I have had on my C5 have been caused by this regulator so its got to be worth a try, they are not really expensive and you can get secondhand ones for next to nothing, they are not difficult to fit either.

On the HP pump which is on the back of the timing belt housing, see the picture, they are held on with two screws, maybe torx or allen and one connector. You will probably have to remove the fuel filter housing if its the same as the C5 but that's not difficult.

'hi bick, how would I know if the cam sensor has gone and where is it located'
Hi Danny ideally you need to get a proper diag done - someone with and who knows how to use a lexia - it may be worth going to Citroen to get a proper diag done.

The cam sensor is right on to of the enging by the egr valve and oil filler cap - the can get burnt by a faulty egr valve because of how close they are. The crank sensor im not sure i you could do with getting a Haynes manual for a 2.0hdi engine really.

Note the Relay van is known for having electrical problems because the actual van body and electrics are Fiat! It could be something like fault in the wiring e.g. A corroded multi plug.

Thanks for the help if I take it to a citroen dealer will they know for definite what it is because I took it to a diesel specialist thinking he will know and he obviously didn't? It happened again today was driving for an hour then come to slow traffic and went into limp mode.

Hi Danny thats a difficult one to be certain of, it can depend on the dealer and even which technician is doing the job!

I would go in and ask to speak to a senior technician or service engineer and tell them what you have had done, who did it and how much you have spent and ask the if they can sort it. They may look a little deeper with the lexia that if you just book it in.
