Xantia Headlight Bulb Recommendations?

Post by CitroJim »

I need a new set of headlamp bulbs for my V6 as one dipped beam bulb has failed.

What's the current highly recommended bulb to get and from where?

Thanks :-D

Pretty sure I've got a 10% discount code somewhere :)

I've used the Osram Nightbreakers to good effect - I see they're now 'Nightbreaker Unlimited' - coupled with the relay mod of course.....! Not that long lived, but better that than putting it in the ditch.

Always had good results from Osram Silverstars as well.

Thanks both :-D I will be getting a set for stock but I find I didn't in fact have a blow bulb..

It was all down to a bit of bad workmanship  I'd removed that headlamp to improve access to the HP pump when I resealed it and completely missed the fact that headlamps work much better when they're actually connected to the wiring loom..

I plugged the headlamp in just now and all is now happy!

as much as i dislike suggesting them, Halfords have a B.O.G.O.F. on its own bulbs at the mo for the brilliance / super brilliance/ and other ranges, they also had a deal on upgrade bulbs at a fiver each, pickd up a pair when mine went on one side, otherwise, the osrams as mentioned, very good!
