Another Eolys fluid question. 2008 C5 2.0 HDI

Post by bigblackfalco » 04 Sep 2014, 16:22

Is it possible to see how much fluid is left in the Eolys fluid tank before the light comes on please? (is the tank translucent?).
Thanks.

Yes it is when you look at it from the front end where the electric connection plugs in, I'll post up a photo later.

Having removed the heat shield this is the translucent section looking from the centre of the car towards the N/S/R wheel, the tank here is full, prior to filling the tank you could see how much was in there especially if you shine a torch at it.

This is where you fill the tank from, the Infineum kit comes with a hose that you connect onto the joint shown then having filled the tank you go into the relevant Diagbox menu and click on reset, all very simple really.

Just been grovelling around under the car. Got the heat shield off. Think the tank is very empty. Can't see a shadow up front of window and when I knock against tank, it sounds hollow/empty!
I get the feeling that someone has reset the Diagbox without filling the tank maybe?!
Last MOT at 164K said Eolys would need filling soon.
Car now at 175K and no warning light/no diagnostic errors.
Just swell I looked I think ... supposed to be off for a 2 week tour in Scotland on Friday!
