For a couple of years now I've had very occasional high speed clicking from my indicators, from reading other posts I believe it's a faulty indicator stalk, and not an uncommon problem. Well yesterday it started again but with the added bonus of smoke wisping out from behind the steering wheel, so I guess it's time to change it!
The reason for my post is to try and confirm if the Synergie and Peugeot 806 stalks are identical, I found an ebay seller with both but the 806 one is 5 quid cheaper and I'm a bit short this month!
Synergie: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/281283599643? ... EBIDX%3AIT" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
806: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/281316248592? ... EBIDX%3AIT" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The 806 description quotes a Valeo and OE part numbers, but I have no way to check those for my synergie (2000MY HDi)
Can anyone advise? Thanks

Re: Synergie Smoking Indicators !
Try giving the lever a good work out, the problem is caused by metal dust from the contacts, you can sometimes clean it up a bit with some agitation.

Service.citroen gives the same part number for Synergies built after RP 7112.

Re: Synergie Smoking Indicators !
I would look at the relay under the steering wheel as well (behind the plastic)
