05 307 HDI 110 rad fan

Post by citronut »

my friend has as in title

since he has owned this car at random periods the rad fan will run for quite some time, even in the engine is not up to temperature,

then it might not do this for months,

i fitted a cam belt kit and water pump about two weeks ago,
on running it up to temperature i said to my friend in my experience and others on here, HDI's take a long time to heat up,
this car came up to temperature fairly quickly which surprised me,

in the last few days the fan has been running for quite some time after switching the engine off, even after a short drive,

any ideas/suggestions??????
Regards, malcolm.

The fan will run on if the car is regenerating. Read up on how the DPF system works.
