There are a few default numbers for Bluetooth pairing. The most common is 0000, followed by 1111, and 1234.

Well, doesn't the display actually show the pass number which you have to enter in your phone? That was the case with myway if I recall correctly.

I don't have a C5, so I do not know about that. However, on every Bluetooth device I have used it has not displayed a pairing code (although the phones have had to be told it). Even the generic car radio I have does not show the code.

Well, I do, but I don't have myway (my guess) anymore, rather emyway, so it's a bit different, but if I recall correctly, the car generated a pin, which needed to be input in the phone ... but, there are two ways to connect, car -> phone and phone -> car, meaning, in the first one you search with the nav unit the available phone, in the second, the phone searches for the nav unit (CITROEN_BT or sth similar device name) ... I tried both methods, and both have worked ...

I'll have access to a myway equipped car on monday evening, so if you don't figure out by then, I'll try the procedure for you and write it down.

setting up my phone wirh the blue tooth connection

I think you type a code on one then the other. I chose 0000 as it's easiest to type on the radio buttons. I don't have the nav system.

Does a 2009 C5 have Bluetooth? I thought that Bluetooth started from 2010 on C5's.

Depends on the build date, I know a chap with a 59 plate C6 that has Bluetooth, and as they fitted the same equipment to the C5 & C6 it is possible.

Just for further reference, myway (RNEG) bluetooth connection between the nav unit and the phone (test unit: Android 4.2 OS) can be established by two approaches (in both the phone must have Bluetooth discoverability turned on, of course):

1. RNEG to Phone:

Phone menu, search for phone, and in about half a minute your phone name should pop out on the screen. Select it, and the car will generate a random 4 digit PIN, which you'll have to enter in your phone to complete the connection. Final step, the phone will ask you if you want to share the phone book.

2. Phone to RNEG:

The phone will find the CITROEN device, and while you attempt to connect to it, a message will appear on the nav screen whether you accept the incoming connection, then the nav unit will show you another screen on which you set the PIN yourself (it can be whatever, I usually use 000 in this case), and afterwards, repeat this PIN on the phone. Final step, phone book sharing confirmation on the phone.

Tested and confirmed today.
