C5 2.0HDi Estate 2003 –transmission transplant

We have a C5 2.0HDi Estate 2003 with 280 000 km and a broken transmision.Due to the cost of repairing the transmission and all the issues we were reading about, we are not very happy to fix or replace it with the same 4 speed box! has anyone successfully fitted later model 6 speed auto with 2.2 engine in the older model C5?
