305 braking issue - xantia upgrade?

Post by Xud »

Xantia front hubs/brakes on my 305?

Does anyone know if xantia front hubs and brakes would fit my 305.

I know the hubs must be similar as they use the same ball joints

Trouble I'm having is I cannot find any brake setups to work and at the moment I am using a 266mm solid setup from a 206 using 305 brake discs

Any other brake discs are the wrong offset and foul the hub itself

Any advice appreciated

firstly you might find using any LHM hydraulic citroen brake components ( anything fluid/citro blood runs in ) the DOT4 type fluid will kill the LHM seals,

you could register on

http://service.citroen.com/pages/index.jsp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

and

http://public.servicebox.peugeot.com/pages/index.jsp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

if you are not already, just register as an individual, unless of course you are in the trade, then register and an indipendant,

then you can enter part No.'s from one to the other, then run an all families search in both sites,

this will show which components are compatible from cit to pug

Thanks I will try that

Perhaps i might be able to fit peugeot 405 hubs also, as these seem similar

Ideally I would like to fit the 283mm xsara hdi vtr front brake setup that I already have!
