C3 Engine noise

I have a C3 1400 HDI it's an 04 plate there is a ticking noise on idle sounds like an exhaust blow can you help please

You will probably find one of the injector fire seals is leaking, look for telltale black 'coal' around one of the injectors. Another giveaway is an exhaust smell from the under bonnet area with the engine running.

Don't see why not, just be careful of exhaust gasses in the car, I sometimes find driving a car like this I can feel my eyes start to nip a bit.

That's great because I tried to get Injector seals yesterday tried 3 places no luck as it's a holiday weekend I might have to wait until Tues.

When replacing the seals you MUST get the seats in the cylinder head properly clean, not a very easy thing to do on this engine without the special tool for doing it. If the injector seats are not clean enough then you will be doing the job again in a couple of weeks time.
Make sure you also get new plastic injector sleeves.

OK I'll remember that, never having done this on the c3 but have replaced Injector seals many times on other cars,so I hope everything goes to plan.
