Hydractive ECU - overvoltage suppressor

Post by Old-Guy »

Sorting through the biuts salvaged from the VSX, I decided to separate the EPIC and Hydractive ECUs from their common mounting plate. Curious as to why the latter rattled, I opened it up: rattling around in the case was a Motorola MR2535S that has quite clearly got hot enough to flow the solder and fall off the PCB!

Yet another reason why the suspension never worked properly! :?

One item to come off the list of parts on offer, though if anyone wants it to play with they are welcome to it.

Maybe one Jim could save in his spare time if donated as I believe he has the bits to solder sensitive things :)

It's yours Jim if you want it, though I wonder what else may have suffered as a result. I refrained from tinkering further as the connectors are screwed to the case and I was being pressured to get the bits sorted, crated and stored out of the way!
