warning message

HELP!!!!!
hI i am the proud owner of a C5 VTR 1798 CC petrol on a 06 plate with 60,000 miles on the clock.
It as all ways started on the very first touch of the key up until last week when i got in it and it took several try s before she fired up once started she ran as all ways smooth & quite.
The next day when i went to start her as i turned the key i got the pinging sound and on the screen got the message the engine temp was to high which i knew it could not be as it had stood all night this was followed with another ping telling me the antipollotion system was not working 2 seconds later yet another ping telling me that the ESP is not working that was then followed yet again with ping and non of the rear passenger seat belt fastened warning i was the only person in the car at the time.
so in a matter of 30 seconds i had 4 warning messages which was strange as in the previous 7 years i have owned the car not one,was just about ready to run away from it in case it was to blow up then noted the motor was running just fine quite and smooth so went about my usual daily commute with no problems.
A week later after havering new battery fitted with new terminals and giving her a full service i still getting all the aforementioned warning messages not all ways in the same order but they are getting more frequent and twice she as cut out all together but starts right back up on the first turn of the key.

PLEASE ANY IDEAS.........
Regards Nick...........
P.S. I have try d look at past posts for similar items but they all seem to refer to turbo diesel motors am i the only petrol head ? :o)

Hello Nick, and welcome to the madhouse we all love and know as the FCF.

The first thing that you will need to do is to get a Lexia onto her. While this may not get it right, it is far better than trying to guess what the fault is. Try looking on the following link for members near to you who are willing to help out;

Sorry about that. However, you are more likely to diagnose it once the codes go up.

Malcolm asked about the throw of a Berlingo clutch slave cylinder, and as my colleague has a Peugeot Partner van with a similar engine, I offered to help;

Surprised the new battery didn't do the trick, as they are famous for throwing up faults when the battery is giving up.

Did you all get the original problem sorted?

If not, I had similar with all sorts of odd messages. In my case it was sort of battery related but BSI unit. It appears the garage did some work and simply switched off, popped the bonnet, disconnected the battery. Did the work and reconnected and the BSI ECU did not like it.

They like 3 mins to shut down before disconnection etc. The garage was not aware of this qwerk.

I did a BSI reset and the problem was solved
