Thinking of changing the front 3 on the mk1 C5 H3+
Where is the best place to apart from main dealer for price and quality. Want to also make sure I get supplied the correct ones.
Car feels a little jittery on the front end and want to eliminate the spheres.

Re: Best place to buy spheres?
Can push down on the front corners approx 2" and comes back up to rest without noticeable bounce. Can push down on the rear a good 5-6" and comes back to rest.
Does this sound about right?
How do you know if they have worn out without removing them, is there a better test?

Re: Best place to buy spheres?
Not a difficult job with the right tool. There is a chap on ebay that makes an excellent sphere remover, it clamps on with a bolt or two and doesn't slip so if the spheres are tight you can whack it with a hammer. You need to depressurise the system which is simple, there is a bleed screw on the drivers side of the engine bulkhead, fit a length of plastic pipe, slacken the screw and collect the fluid in a clean container then you can recycle it if you want to, there is a separate bleed nipple for the rear which is quite easy to see, same process. Make sure the seats are clean and screw the replacements in hand tight - job done.
