ADAC

Post by boristhespie »

Having problems with ADAC. Tried to renew but each time we get a hideous woman who is quite unpleasant and sarcastic. She says she renewed our membership but to be blunt I don't believe her. Why?

Well she diesn't take all the details which are required to charge our card. We usuallt get new cqrd but she says we wont and frankly it doesn't quite gell.

I have read elsewhere that ADAC under pressure from the AA who had a reciprocal agreement is insisting they don't take on UK customers. As a result ADAC are avoiding new UK customers. (Which must be against EU rules)

But havibg read this. Having had no money taken out of our cars I am concerned We will be travelling on a worthless promise. And find ourselves up sh1t creek without a paddle.

Anyone managed to renew recently? If so what phone number and name did you cobtact?

Man is, by nature, a lazy beast, he does not need twice encouraging to do nothing.

No Eric, you have to do it by phone if you don't live in Germany.

I'd sack them off and go with Brittania or Green Flag these days.

I have this strange feeling of deja vue. I'm sure someone was making exactly the same complaint about 18 months ago.

Yeah yeah. It was me.

To be honest last year I never knew whether I was covered or not. I am certain they took no money but kept sending me their mag. This year same woman and attitude and same lacknof clarity. Should find someone else but even getting out of adac is a hassle.
