Peugeot 307 SW 1.6 HDI engine codes

Post by leewesley20371 »

Hey all, I'm new just signed up and I have a query about my 2005 plate 307 1.6HDI. I've been told about a potential problem concerning oil and turbo issues. The codes I have from the site which had the vehicle alerts are as follows: 753420-5006S, 0006E and 9663199280. my engine code is DV6TED4, but I want to know if it's 9HY or 9HX. The site I've had the information from is btnturbo.com. Can anyone shed any light on any of these issues ?

You don't need to worry about codes, if in doubt popping the sump off will reveal state of the oil.

By this age, any surviving 2005 1.6 HDi is quite likely to be either obviously unwell, or onto it's second/third turbo, presumably with oil feed modification.

Just look at your VIN number, part of the number will be either 9HY or 9HZ. From memory I think it's the 6th, 7th & 8th digits.
