HDi repower

Post by Peugeoholic »

Hi,

I am looking for some help with a repower using an HDi engine.

Option 1
is a 136hp 407 engine which I have in my garage. It came in a crashed and partially dismantled car and was supposed to be complete in terms of the stuff for getting the engine to run. However on pickup the seller said they had the steering column elsewhere and would get it to me later. Never did manage to get it , and it turned out that it was a steering column from a different car anyway....

So I have the engine, wiring, ECU, BSi, but not the COM2000 unit or the key/transponder. My research to date indicates that it won't run because of the immobiliser.
Is there any way to get the engine running (preferably just with the ECU and not the BSI as well)? It seems that if the ECU was unlocked that this would work.. if I can find some way to get this done...

Any ideas?

Engine:
10DYTL 2 litre diesel turbo HDi 16valve engine
DW10BTED4

ECU:
Siemens SID 803
5WS40205E-T
10077/ 856143956/ 05034/ 005A4

SVC MM SID803 CEM00
SW9658345380
HW9655041480

Option B is to find another donor - eg a 406 HDi and leave the 407 engine in the shed a bit longer.
Are there any things to look out for when looking for a donor - eg multiplexed etc. ideally I would want to just use the engine and gearbox ecus without the BSI - is this possible?

Thanks

Why not get the key code, and have some keys cut?

Make sure you have the cabin harness as well as the engine harness.
