C5 Tourier 2008 radio system

Unread post by bigblackfalco »

Does anyone know what make the standard fitment radio and speakers are in the C5's?
I have the single slot loading CD player version.

If it is the RD4 unit, than I'd say its from Bosch

My unit is identical to that - and is made by Blaupunkt.

As for speakers, not sure but I'd assume Blaupunkt too. You have to take the entire door panel off to get to the speakers :shock: so I haven't investigated further.

That's why I said "I'd say its from Bosch", the last unit I had the opportunity to pull out of the car was the Bosch RD4 ... the outer shell is the same in both cases, you can only tell by the labels (or, if you have Lexia/DiagBox) ... and, to add to confusion, there are several revisions of the device, which you can't tell apart without reading the details .. .the same story is with myway & emyway (RNEG & RT6 share the box, but the manufacturers are Harman Becker & Magnetti Marelli)

Speakers are Harman / Becker if I remember correctly. And yes you have to take off the door panel completely.

Here´s how it looked on mine: http://www.saunalahti.fi/jepujep/Autohifit/IMG_2129.JPG" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
