brake pad sensor

Unread post by froggy »

Hi my S1 Xantia. I have just reconnected the wires to the front wheel brake sensors. someone in the distant past had decided to cut both wires ! Iam finding , sometimes that the brake pad sensor light light flickers on and off from time to time but never under braking ! any advice greatfully received, cheers Terry.

You need to dress the sensor wires carefully, or they are inclined to rub on the rims, wearing away the insulation.

I've recently repaired one on the green lady - the cable has TWO cores, one of which is grounded on the strut. So if the repair cross-connects the two wires.....
