Just ordered a new unit as getting lights coming on in day light randomly.
Is there anything I need to do specially to make the new one work or is it plug and play? I have read the Haynes manual and seems easy enough to change.

Re: Fitting Comms unit C5 mk1
The only complication is if the car as ESP - as then it will need to go on a Lexia to calibrate the steering angle sensor.

Re: Fitting Comms unit C5 mk1
Just a thought would all the other functions work? Cruise auto wipers and lights?

Believe other functions will work if unit is correct (note that you will need to swap over the cruise and radio control stalks). The ESP won't stop you driving it, but the light will be on = MOT fail. Think you will need Lexia to sort it - might be someone near you can do the necessary.

Re: Fitting Comms unit C5 mk1
Unit should be correct as ordered from a main stealer. Looks easy to change and looking at the new unit the arrows are all lined up ready for fitting.
Do you know if a Launch or Delphi diagnostic machine would sort the eps?

Re: Fitting Comms unit C5 mk1
No idea if anything other than Lexia will work - plug it in and see if you can get to a programming step?

Re: Fitting Comms unit C5 mk1
New unit fitted, used a Delphi system to calibrate the steering angle sensor.
New unit feels good nice soft clicks on the light and wiper stalks.
