I was just wondering the difference in what these tools do or say.
I am going to a Citroen specialist on Monday who assure me they have the best diagnostic tools to find errors.
I recently just had the car scanned for errors at another garage. At first they couldn't find any faults but the auto-technician re-established communication with the Data Link Connector (D.L.C.) and found some faults.
I was just wondering if using different scanning tools and maybe downloading software would effect your car when it will be then scanned by a completely different tool? Just worried what the auto-technician did in order to establish comms with their scanner, might then prevent other scanners working on the car like they should when plugged into the D.L.C!

Re: Different scanning tools.... (D.L.C)
Wouldn't the best tool have to be a Diagbox (computer/notebook) with the OBD2 connection to the car? I know there are a lot of handheld scanners, that connect to the same connector, but for the PSA group cars, I think if a technician doesn't have a Diagbox package, he's not a specialist ... I could be wrong though ...
