Citroen AX Radio/cassette removal

Unread post by johnway »

Help please! I have acquired my mother's N reg AX and want to change the radio/cassette to something more modern but, I can't get the darn thing out. I have the slim removal keys and pushed the spring clips on either side of the radio, but it won't budge. Before I get really physical with it, can somebody give some advice please? Many thanks, John.

I Blame it all on my Dad!! (Sadly had to give up driving & his 2nd BX) but Mum still has a C1.

every AX radio i've removed was with a big sharp tug.

That was on the moulded type though

I don't see anything to grab a hold of to give it a big tug - the radio is the moulded type I believe with no obvious mounting nuts/screws or slots
visible. Thanks, John.
