citroen C5 revving help

Unread post by ggonline »

Hi guys,

my 2002 C5 2.2hdi is ok until I get to approx 2000 revs, then with little power it revs really quickly to around 3500-4000 revs, any ideas, could it be the clutch slipping or the turbo?

If there's a susbstantial increase in revs with no associated increase in road speed, then it can only be the clutch slipping I'm afraid.

If it's revving quickly without any surge of power - ie litte increase in speed then it sounds like a slipping clutch

I would go with clutch as well.

Auto data give 6.2hrs for the clutch and 6.9hrs with flywheel.
