Help!
have a 2004 peugeot boxer 2.2 hdi since 18 mnths and has been brill; but then started to cut out when more power is needed ie up a hill or on exelaration;
took it to peugeot here in france; they changed the fuel filter as the code sais fuel starvation;
but no good;
injectors have been tested and been reconditioned by diesel specialist;
have changed the fuel rail pressure switch to be sure;
auto electrician has tested the fuel pump and all working, but problem still prevails if not worse now;
starts up fine, but as soon as temperature is reached it cuts out or sometimes goes into limp mode;
codes have been checked several times but no further;
over a 1000 bucks later i have to sort it out myself now;
am wanting to replace the high pressure fuel pump;
are there any manuels or guides available, or is it even possible to dismantle fuel pump without disturbing timing belt
thanks
Al

Re: peugeot boxer cutting out
Have you changed the pressure regulator on the pump? These have a very fine filter which can block, I haven't found a way of clearing them so a replacement is usually needed. Mine is on a 2.0. engine but I think the 2.2 is similar.

Thanks for that;
had thought of that, but so far it seems i have to buy the whole unit, ie with pump; but probably worth finding a supplier for that;

Re: peugeot boxer cutting out
I got one off ebay for not to much money but it was also clogged, some come without the filter so I ground the end off, works fine now.

Re: peugeot boxer cutting out
If you post up the VIN we can look in service box and see what system is fitted, and if it lists the regulator separately.
