C5 Air con, another dud from PSA?

Turned my air con on today, no click from compressor! Had it gassed in December.

Air not that cold, the breeze outside was cooler.

Am I expecting too much? I previously had a Saab 9-3, and that was gassed once, and even after 3 years, would be so cold it would start to hurt your hand after 10 seconds or so.

Previously had 2 peugeot 306's, which both needed several hundreds pounds worth of repairs to their air con systems to get them to work.

Why cant PSA make good air con?

You need a UV dye test Rob, you've obviously got a leak somewhere. I know what you mean about Saab ACC though, i used to freeze my hands on LO or bake on HI, my friends used to call it the Saab sauna in the winter.

I don't think you can blame PSA for your air on issues, a stone could hit the condenser 100 metres along the road with a brand new car of any make.
As it happens, C5's are pretty reliable in this dept, although a short compressor pipe failure is quite common on the mk111.
If your car is the 2002 C5 on your sib, it is 12 years old !

My 2009 ac packed up and it turned out a stone had gone through the condenser ( which is just in front of the rad ).I also had the very short pipe replaced as that had gone a month or two earlier . All seems good now . A new condenser and regas at my local cost me £299.
