hi guys
I've just ordered a set of heated seat elements and switch harness from fleabay and will be stripping down the drivers leather seat in the next week or so.
I've printed off the relevant pages from Citroendoc backup which include very simple diagrams.
My question is has anyone done this already? My main concern is with the side airbag and seatbelt tensioner as never removed these from a car before. Never stripped down a car seat before either.
Any tricks to make this as painless as possible or tips on specialist tools required in advance are gratefully appreciated.
As this is a common problem I plan on taking lots of photos and making up a 'guide' which I'll happily post on here for others.

Re: The dreaded heated seat problem
I got this far.....my seat pads however worked.....
Seat AirBags are easy..see pics.............BUT FOLLOW battery disconnect procedure AND take care undoing the under-seat plugs.

Re: The dreaded heated seat problem
Cheers mate thats great. the diagrams in the citroendoc backup are very simple not all that clear, particularly the ones concerning pulling the lining and puch from behind the seat to expose the airbag bolts.
Many thanks

Re: The dreaded heated seat problem
Well it has arrived
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pair-of-Carbo ... 1149719569" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Very well made with clear instructions. Only query is where to power it from. It has an inbuilt relay and requires 2 power sources, 1 permenant live and 1 switched live.
Because there are lots of threads about Citroen electrics being quite fussy and even a small change in voltage to certain units throws up all sorts of error messages I'm reluctant to cut directly into the ignition switch or run a wire direct to the battery as suggested by the instructions. I would prefer to keep all wiring under the seat if possible.
Any ideas on what to piggy-back the power from? Can I use the original heated seat power source? I had an idea about using the O/E stereo as it is works when the ignition is off as the permenant live.
Any recommendations are appreciated
