Xantia - AL4 Regulating pressure fault

Unread post by lancia58 »

Hi

I felt some bangs from the AL4 gearbox and hooked the Lexaia. I got the "Regulating fault". Has anyone experienced this fault ? I tried to track it down and got to the conclusion that it may be the pressure regulation electro valve or the pressure sensor. Is there a way to point which one of the two is failed ? Can there be other cause to the fault ?

Thanks

Almost always, it's the pressure regulation electrovalve being "sticky".

It turns out that 1 liter of ATF missing. Adding it sorted the fault

It has evaporated; like mine that’s gone low without any leaks.

Hi

For time to time when I lifted the car I could see that the gear box is wet, I guess it was ATF ( the liquid was transparent ) , the mechanics told me that I can ignore that leak. As a lesson each six month I'll add ATF. Anyway I am going to detach the gear and sort the leak

Thanks
