c5 hdi 2002 suspention

hi my problems getting worse to night my car sat right down suspension not responding at all it just sits there normally when i use the remote to open the doors it adjusts the suspension and i can normally here the electric motor running to adjust the ride height at the moment its all dead any ideas welcome.

it went whilst i was driving it it just sat down

hi found a fuse gone in glove compartment no 23 15 amp says for suspension put a new one in but nothing happening removed the plug to the pump and found one live wire so far downt wont to buy a pump till im sure what it is.f3 under the bonnet is ok any ideas wellcome

reading the haynes manual it says if anew pump fitted it as to be initialized by main agent dose this apply if i use one of a scrap car of same age ,this car mite end up scrap and as just had new tyres (3) and mot 3 months ago and done 72000

Colin,
have a read through this thread which also contains links to other threads on the same subject.
Lots of info there that will most likely help you find and rectify the problem.

You can change the pump but keep the original ECU and it won't need to be reinitialised, uness it is the ECU that is sick.

myglaren thanks for taking the time to reply im not to good on the computer but i think i can find the threads and im sure they will be of help i will read them after this thread at the moment i have just fitted a pump of a scrap car and its no different no sound from it at all so took it of and fitted the old one back on checked all the fuses and i will now read the threads you have pointed out again thanks for your time

myglaren just read those links you told me about absolutely brilliant wish i had read them this morning be for i changed the pump the maxi fuse 40 amp fuse i could not find till i saw photos by clogzz .very good . my 40 amp fuse has gone but i feel i am on the right track .will replace it in the morning but i am expecting to have problems but at least i can see light at the end of the tunnel thanks again will let you know haw i get on .

If the fuse has gone as you say then I would be looking for corrosion in the motor.

I generally entertain myself and boggle the minds of the non-Citroen crowd by performing Citroebics while waiting at traffic lights.*

I defend this by telling myself that it:
a) exercises the struts and uses the parts that don't normally get used, thereby keeping them clean and lubricated and
b) runs the pump much more than it would normally run, warming it up and dissipating any moisture that might cause corrosion
thereby prolonging it's life.

I am probably leading myself up the garden path with this but the intention is well-meant :twisted:

* you need to know the sequence and timings or it backfires when you have to drive off with the suspension on high and look a right dick.

myglaren im hear again i read on the links you told me of and. a member said he had fitted a second hand motor and pump complete and it worked using the second hand icu.
