If it's the engine or box, I shall simply laugh and send it on it's way. If it's anything else, I'll fix it if I can be bothered. I've better things to do!

Have fun with it. Other than the airbag issue, what (if anything) is wrong with it?

BY the way, if needed I have a Lexia available.

I suspect the ride height is a bit high and the horn doesn't work, which will be the same cause as the airbag.

Oh, and it decided to demand the radio code from me after I started it earlier, which I found, but put in wrong, so it's locked me out for a while,. Other than that, it's spot on.

I still have a Lexia, I just need to install a virtual machine

Good luck with the V6 Mike, they can be temperamental old things but are worth it .

My apologies Mike, I didn't know about the horn, otherwise i would have told you!

The radio code, did it prompt for it outside Liam's house? Reason I ask is the car hasn't done a long run for a while so it could just be a low battery, but i'm sure you'd already have worked that one out.

I know that Chris! I wasn't expecting it to work anyway. I never use it. It was Sam who discovered that it didn't when he asked me what the picture on the wheel was then wanted to hear it.

The radio asked for the code outside my house, which was odd. Of course I put it in wrong and blocked it. Drove to work and back waiting for it to reset so I could try again. . It didn't let me.

Then I read the manual and found you simply hold one of the buttons down for a few secs and it unblocks it. No waiting required.

Great car. Sam has declared it "awesome" and "a bit fast".

Congrats on the purchase, especially after saying recently you would never buy another Citroen again let alone another Xantia. Never say never eh ? ;)

Let's hope you have better luck than me...

To be honest, it was the power and leather I'd been missing. If I could have bought something so well equipped for what I paid that wasn't a Citroen, I would have done.

Did you say that, really?
I did, and I almost meant it! I've had so many of them and I'm fed up of weird random problems with them, electrical mainly.

I'd be willing to bet money that I've owned more Citroens over more years than most people on this forum, as well as having a former life as a dealer trained mechanic. If that doesn't make me a genuine enthusiast, I don't know what does. I've just got better things to do with my spare time these days, like play with the kids or do non-car related stuff, or travel. People tend to forget we only have one shot at life and I'm damned if I'm spending it stressing about weird random problems.
