Pete Stearnes

Unread post by BW »

I'm very saddened to learn that Pete has passed away, he will be greatly missed, a true gent.
From the CCC Scottish section the following sentiments:
Everyone in The Scottish Section has been extremely saddened by the news that Pete Stearnes has died. He was an integral part of all our events and it won't be the same without him.
Pete and his wife Eileen were very keen supporters of all Scottish Section rallies, starting way back at the very first one held at Doune, and both, then Pete after his wifes untimely death, attended every single rally, meeting, dinner-dance and get-together ever organised by our Section. He was indeed considered part of our Section, as he did himself; hence his name of "MacStearnes" fondly used by his many friends He loved Scotland, and for decades used his caravan to come and stay at his "special site" at "Citroena, Aboyne, and attended all the local events, games, etc up there. He had many, many friends, his was a "weel kent face" to all and will be sadly missed.
