I ha've got a clunky back end over bumps, how can the rear subframe mounts checked if they are OK or not ?

Not a direct answer to your question, but a few years ago my Xantia had an annoying intermittent knock from the back end, which I eventually traced to the rear ride height being wrong. Somehow or other, the height corrector clamp on the anti-roll bar must have rotated slightly - I adjusted the rear ride height and not a murmur since. Until identifying the ride height as the problem, I had suspected the sub-frame bushes.
