I discovered that the N/S/R door speaker was not working.
Therefore I looked into it, and removed the speaker from the door, checking the connections, and swopping it with the other side proved the speaker still worked.
So, it turned out diagnosing the problem further, that the reason why it was not working was because of a break in the wire (the white one) within the "B" post.
Checking the length that was present, it appeared that the break was in the middle area of the rubber trunking that exits the "B" post.
Therefore I am posting this to find out if anyone has had the same problem, and what they have done to sort out the problem.
Note I had a few other things to do on the car at the time of diagnosing this, and did find that the ends of the rubber trunking seemed hard to remove, at the "B" post end.
So I got on with the other things I had to do, rather than go too far with this problem, because I thought I would ask for help, and assistance here, and do it with more information to hand.

Re: Rear Speaker Issue
I had a (sort of) similar problem, in that the O/S/R door wasn't working from the central locking, while the N/S/R door was deadlocked, and also not working off the central locking. Both were down to failed wiring in that grommet. I added about 0.5m into each damaged wire, and the doors are now locking properly.

Re: Rear Speaker Issue
Where the wires for the central locking a similar size to the speaker wires?
I think considering the issue you had, which is worse than just the speaker N/W that I will pay attention to that as well, and check its' condition and routing.
Did you leave the conduit/trunking in the door, and work downwards?
Or did you remove it from both ends?
Also where does the loom go to, when it enters the "B" post, and what route does it take?
I am trying to get it sorted out between rainstorms, and was hoping to do it the quickest way, as this frequent rain is getting to be a PITA!

Re: Rear Speaker Issue
I couldn't say if the wire sizes were the same. I just got 5 different colours of wiring, rated for 20a (at 12v). I popped the rubber concertina grommets off at both ends and routed through them.
What I did was to cut 0.5m lengths, stripped and soldered each end, slid 2 lengths of heat sleeving onto them, then carefully read the numbering on the original wiring, stripped and soldered these ends, and added in the new lengths. Then I lined the sleeving over the solder joints, warmed them up, and carefully 'lost' the excess in the pillars and doors. All doors now know about the central locking, and do what it tells them to do.
