Hi,
With the nearside front window down and turning left at low speeds in second gear I can hear quite a loud rattling noise coming from the nearside front. The more lock I have on the steering seems to make the noise more pronounced. Disappears when you accelerate or if the steering wheel is straight. I can't hear it in the car unless the window is down. Sometimes second gear can be a bit stiff going into gear, only when cold really. No other untoward noises. Gearbox is silent when in neutral with the clutch depressed or not. Thanks.
Regards Graham

Hi Graham
Sounds like the n/s CV joint is failing, they usually make a sort of clicking noise. If it drives OK otherwise I wouldn't worry to much about it, if it gets bad enough to need changing it will let you know.
