Battery and fuel gauage

Post by ej2095 »

Hi all

Got a C5 disel mk1

Tried to start this morning and it went engine imboliser fault.

But i knew the battery was being odd last week.

So after cursing i got my old vectra battery on the car (Lower ampage i know) and i started fine.

How ever the fuel guage thinks i got half a tank of fuel. when i know i have but it has been playing up last few weeks to be fair..

Is there away to reset the fuel guage?

And will fit my newly bought battery later :-0

Disconnect the battery, leave it for a minute or two and then re connect, you may well find that will put it right.

To be on the safe side, make sure that you follow the proper shut down / reboot procedure, or you might end up with more problems!
